The Problem

“We quickly negotiated and executed a contract in early January,” recalled Conley. “And we went live with LigoLab in March of 2020.”

The ECPC–LigoLab partnership faced its first real test in the spring of 2020, when ECPC expanded operations to include UMass Memorial Health Harrington Hospital. The Solution
Soon after the Harrington Hospital implementation, LigoLab’s agility and flexibility were tested again as ECPC onboarded two additional independent laboratory clients. Conley explained that the first project was a straightforward, non-automated setup without system interfaces. The second, however, involved a multi-specialty medical group laboratory with far greater complexity, requiring advanced lab workflow configurations and multiple interfaces to support surgical, gynecologic, genitourinary, and dermatopathology testing. The challenge was intensified by the fact that both labs were being built simultaneously.
