Los Angeles, CA (November 21, 2019) – Dr. Aaron Rossi, the President/CEO of Reditus Laboratories and PAL Health Technologies II, has partnered with LigoLab to provide a billing solution for physicians around the country, allowing them to take back control of their practices through the shared use of LigoLab’s comprehensive Laboratory Information System (LIS) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) platform. LigoLab CEO Suren Avunjian announced details of the partnership today.
LigoLab CEO Suren Avunjian provided details of the partnership.
“Dr. Rossi needed an Anatomic Pathology workflow and a new billing solution to position his partner laboratories for aggressive growth in the marketplace,” said Avunjian. “We had them up and running on our system in a week. Dr. Rossi and his group were motivated to go live quickly because they already had contracts in hand and customers to service.”
Avunjian said Dr. Rossi realized early on LigoLab’s vision for empowering labs to grow and thrive through one complete platform. Right away he saw the potential to grow his business quickly and extend his business model to his customers by taking advantage of LigoLab’s client-friendly sub-licensing agreement.
LigoLab (from Latin ligo means “to unite”) permits its clients to sub-license to their customers the full capabilities of the LigoLab integrated platform (LIS with AP, CP, MDx and billing/RCM) at no additional cost. This means that a LigoLab client has the ability, at its sole discretion, to offer LIS capabilities to its own customers for their use and benefit.
This sub-licensing agreement has enabled Dr. Rossi to approach large pathology groups, who by partnering with him and using the LigoLab platform, can take back control of their own practices.
“I have an 18-physician pathology lab that I’m about to sign,” said Dr. Rossi. “In a partnership such as this, they can really start to put the revenue back into their own pockets instead of it going to big industries such as hospitals and big, corporate labs.”
“If you look at how the scales are tipped, its medical device companies, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies and big, massive labs that are making the money,” continued Dr. Rossi. “Physicians are trying to do anything they can to stay alive and it’s not easy. The goal behind this is to help drive money back into a physician’s practice.”
Dr. Rossi is currently in discussions with other large physician groups thanks to the capabilities within the LigoLab platform.
“It’s a very technical LIS system, and it has a ton of capability,” said Dr. Rossi. “You’re able to customize the system the way you want it and it’s very scalable. We’ll be at triple the volume of specimens a day in six months, so we needed to have the power and the capability behind our LIS system to be able to do that.”
“Reditus provides the billing service and first line of support and training for his partner laboratories. We provide all of the tools, support and the know-how, and he’s out there rolling out the platform,” said Avunjian.
