November 2022 LigoLab Newsletter: Research Data Focused on the Top Challenges Labs Like Yours are Currently Facing
We all know that these are challenging times for medical laboratories. Daily they are forced to navigate through a maze of problem areas related to regulatory requirements, falling margins, rising costs, and a lack of qualified personnel, all while still trying to meet a demand of 13 billion tests performed annually.
At LigoLab, we're always on the lookout for ways in which we can help our laboratory partners become more efficient, productive, and profitable, and we can't do this without first understanding what laboratories are currently facing and what steps they've taken to tackle the problem areas.
To help us better understand the current situation, we recently reached out to thousands of laboratory professionals to get their thoughts on the state of the industry, and specifically their responses to LIS and RCM-related questions. We then compiled the survey results into an informative document that we're happy to share with everyone now.
We Understand That Selecting the Right LIS for Your Lab is a Mission Critical Decision

LigoLab Operating Platform Offers its Clients Server Flexibility
A modern lab information system (LIS) like the LigoLab LIS & RCM Laboratory Operating Platform can do what rigid legacy LIS systems can't, providing its clients flexibility and workflow efficiencies that remove bottlenecks and open up new business opportunities.
So how can lab leaders quickly identify modern LIS systems among the many options out there? One way is by determining if the LIS has the flexibility to be deployed either on the Cloud or on-premises.
This is just one example that highlights how LigoLab can deliver what its modern-day customers require to remain relevant now and profitable well into the future.

Industry Insights: Poll Shows High Interest in At-Home Medical Tests
A recent University of Michigan poll shows that 48 percent of people aged 50 to 80 have purchased at-home medical tests (tests where the specimen was collected at home) and that 82 percent of older adults would be somewhat or very interested in taking more medical tests at home.
This represents good news for clinical labs willing to embrace direct-to-consumer patient portals like TestDirectly By directly connecting with the patient, these labs can open up new revenue opportunities and take advantage of a combination of growing consumerism and patients proactively managing their healthcare.
The poll first appeared in Clinical Lab Products magazine, and it's also available for review in the Industry Insights section of LigoLab.com, and via the button below.
