A message from our CEO, Suren Avunjian:
First, let me acknowledge all of those in the healthcare industry who are on the front line, selflessly doing what they can to keep all of us safe. We appreciate your effort and your dedication during these uncertain times.
With that in mind, here are a couple of quick notes concerning COVID-19 testing and how it might relate to your laboratory:
- LigoLab’s LIS & RCM operating platform is currently providing interface and workflow support for the Roche Cobas 8800 and 6800, Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Applied Biosystems 7500, QIAGEN, and Bio-Rad instruments.
- These instruments have been FDA-approved to begin high-volume testing for COVID-19.
- LigoLab completed system integrations and validation in preparation for this testing last week, and the platform will soon be used in clinical laboratories across the country.
- In addition to interface support, the clinical labs will also utilize LigoLab’s workflow support, automation, quality control, and report distribution functionality.
- In an effort to increase testing capacity, LigoLab is deploying its services and platform at no cost for any laboratory that needs to perform the COVID-19 test.
- LigoLab is also developing a solution that will allow patients to order the COVID-19 test online and get fast results without potentially infecting healthcare workers and others. Standby for more details as this project progresses.
